Where to apply for a Schengen visa in Türkiye
Türkiye is unusually fragmented — six different application channels. iDATA handles Germany and Italy, VFS Global handles France and most others, BLS International handles Spain and Slovakia, Kosmos handles Greece, and AS-Visa handles Hungary. Romania uses no visa centre — apply via the national e-visa portal (evisa.mae.ro), then submit at the mission. Portugal is direct at the Ankara embassy; Istanbul-district residents are handled by the Hungarian Consulate General.

- You must apply in the consular district where you legally reside — Istanbul consulates cover the west, Ankara covers the centre and east, with the exact split differing per country.

Can I apply for any Schengen country at any centre in Türkiye?
No. You must apply for your main destination — the country where you'll spend the most nights (or your country of first entry if nights are equal) — at that country's designated centre. Applying at the wrong operator gets the file returned as inadmissible.
