Where to apply for a Schengen visa in Pakistan

From Pakistan, most Schengen states take applications through VFS Global (often via a shared Gerry's International drop-box) in Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore. France uses AEG, Greece uses GVCW, and Spain uses BLS International. A handful of countries take files directly at their embassy in Islamabad. Apply for your main destination and expect strong documentation to be essential — Pakistan has one of the highest refusal rates worldwide.

Apply directly at the embassy

Some states use no outsourced centre in Pakistan — you deal with the embassy in Islamabad directly: Poland (e-Konsulat), Romania, Hungary (which also represents Estonia and Lithuania), and the Czech Republic (which also handles Slovakia). Croatia has no application point inside Pakistan — the nearest mission is in Sarajevo.

The visa fee

The Schengen visa fee is €90 per adult, €45 for children 6–11 and free under 6 — the same for every destination, paid locally in PKR. Each centre adds its own service fee on top.

Verified against official operator and embassy sources in 2026. Operators, centre locations and hours change — always confirm and book through the official appointment site before you travel to it.

Where-to-apply FAQs

Can I apply for any Schengen country at any centre in Pakistan?

No. You must apply for your main destination — the country where you'll spend the most nights (or your country of first entry if nights are equal) — at that country's designated centre. Applying at the wrong operator gets the file returned as inadmissible.

How much is the Schengen visa fee in 2026?

€90 per adult, €45 for children aged 6–11, and free for children under 6 — identical for every Schengen country, paid locally in PKR. The application centre also charges its own service fee.

Do I book with the centre or the embassy?

For outsourced operators (VFS Global, TLScontact, BLS and similar) you book online through the operator's official portal. Where a country takes files directly, you deal with its embassy or consulate.
